Child Abuse Headlines.Com is an online newspaper that covers Child Abuse Stories from all across the United States. Child Abuse Headlines.Com was founded in May of 2009 by myself, Dovesblood. I’m the publisher as well as the editor.

This website was inspired by and is dedicated to Nixzmary Brown. Nixzmary Brown was a 7 year old murder victim from New York City. She was murdered by her stepfather in 2006 for taking a strawberry Jello Pudding snack from her family’s fridge and over a broken computer printer. She was kept imprisoned in her room, starved to a skeletal looking 36 pounds, tied to a chair, raped, beaten with a black leather belt, forced to eat cat food & use a cat’s litter box for a toilet. All of this happened while her mother, Nixzaliz Santiago, turned a blind eye. I attended both Nixzmary Brown’s stepfather and mother’s murder trials everyday. I devoted almost a whole year of my life to being in court for Little Nixzmary – from January 2008 up until November 2008. I kept a daily journal of what went on in the courtroom during Nixzmary’s mom’s trial. You can read it HERE.

After both murder trials were over I wondered what was going on in other states in reference to child abuse news. Who was California’s “Nixzmary Brown”? Who was Florida’s “Nixzmary Brown”? What child abuse stories are going on right now in Massachusetts, in Idaho, in Hawaii, in Texas? There was no one place I could go to get daily child abuse news for every state in the country. Sure there are other blogs and websites that post some child abuse news but you’d have to sift through the adult crimes to get to the child abuse crimes. Then there are other blogs that post a few child abuse stories a day but nothing for every state, every day. Since there was no one place for me to go, I decided to create that place and thus Child Abuse Headlines was born. In essence, I created this site for myself. I later decided to share it with others online.

The mission of this website is two-fold:

1) To spread awareness about Nixzmary Brown’s story. When people come here to read about other kids, they’ll see Little Nixzmary’s story on the right of the page and learn more about her.

2) To provide a place where people can get daily child abuse news for every state in the country.

I run this site single handedly. All stories are collected by myself by reading news accounts from all across the country. I write all of the headlines myself. If you don’t see a headline for your state it doesn’t mean nothing is going on. It just means that there was nothing there when I looked. I can’t get to every single child abuse story in every part of the state (some states are huge!) because I’m only one person but I do try as best I can.

As you can imagine, this website is no easy site to run. I have to cover the entire United States. It takes a couple of hours a day. It’s very time consuming.

I don’t mean to toot my own horn but I’m actually very proud of the work that I do. This site is one of a kind and original. A trailblazer! It even spawned some copycats who use this website to build up and provide info for their own sites, never acknowledging the source of course – but this website is the source. Here’s where you’ll find all of the child abuse articles first before they end up copied elsewhere.

I should point out that this is not a “Gotcha” website. It’s a news website with the focus on child abuse. Yes, I do give my opinions on some of the stories so in that regard it’s not straight news reporting.

Some miscellaneous info about me: I’ve been a lacto-vegetarian for 19 years for ethical reasons, aspire to be a Vegan one day and I believe in non violence. In Chinese Astrology my astrological sign is a Rabbit with a Rabbit ascendant.
