Here’s the Dr. Phil Message Boards Shanda Sharer was a 12 year old girl who became romantically involved with an older girl named Amanda Heavrin. Amanda Heavrin’s ex girlfriend, Melinda Loveless, became jealous of Shanda. Melinda Loveless & 3 other teen girls lured Shanda out of her home telling her that her girlfriend, Amanda Heavrin, was waiting for her at the “Witches Castle” – a stone ruined hangout deep in the woods. Once Shanda was in the car and taken to the Witches Castle, her throat was slit, she was repeatedly stabbed, strangled with a rope, beaten and raped with a tire iron. They threw her body in the trunk, went out & ate McDonalds. Shanda Sharer would not die. When they heard her making noises trying to get out of the trunk, they poured gasoline on her and set her on fire. Concerned that Shanda wasn’t burning enough, they went back, poured more gasoline on her and set her on fire again. Shanda Sharer was burned alive. Years later, a man doing a DOCUMENTARY on the story took his video recorder to the exact spot where Shanda Sharer was set on fire. In PART 3 of the video in the background, what appeared to be a figure set ablaze could be seen running through the field. Is 12 year old Shanda Sharer’s spirit still in that field, burning alive?
Or could the image caught on the video be an imprint? That’s when something horrible in time happens and the event just replays itself over and over again in the space where it took place.
On the Dr. Phil message boards, a lady who claims her husband owns the field where Shanda was set on fire wrote this:
Still Gives Me Chills
I live in a nearby town where the murder happened. My husband’s family owns the field where Shanda was murdered. I wasn’t old enough to remember it happening, but I have read the books. The site where she was burned is in the corner of a crop field, the erie part is that, that area still doesn’t grow crops properly. When my husband is farming there at night, you can easily get the feeling that you are being watched. I’m sure it doesn’t get any easier for her family each and everyday they still miss her, my heart goes out to them.

This case made national news when it happened back in 1992. It was a disturbing, haunting case from Indiana. Dr. Phil will be interviewing Shanda Sharer’s mother & sister today. They’ll be confronting one of the girls, now grown, who got out of prison. It promises to be a powerful show. I’ll be watching it when it comes on in New York City at 3 pm. A sworn declaration obtained by TMZ states that Sheena Upton was approached by the British tabloid, The Sun, and asked to “play the role of Kerry Campbell” for a story called, “I Give My 8-Year-Old Daughter Botox.”
Upton says The Sun paid her $200 and provided her the “story, instructions and a script to follow for a recorded interview.”

She wasn’t speaking much and had been put back in a diaper at age 5, police said.
According to the probable cause affidavit, the McConniels told authorities that the girl would store food in her cheeks, mutilate her toys, bite herself and her siblings to the point of bleeding and that she stared at the wall saying, “I hate myself.”The couple also told police that the girl ate food out of the trash and consumed her own vomit, but authorities allege that they didn’t tell doctors about her bizarre behavior.

Kassidie Rae McMillin was a beautiful 10-year-old girl with a radiant smile and big, bright eyes. Sadly, Kassie looked very different in the final hours of her life.
“They had her head shaved, and they had removed a portion of her skull to compensate for the swelling, so she had an incision going all the way across her head, which was covered with staples,” said Derrick McMillin, Kassie’s father.
“If they couldn’t save my little girl, I might as well try to save other children’s lives,” said McMillin.
Kassie did just that with her kidneys, her liver and the valves from her heart. McMillin said in heaven, Kassie is whole just like in her pictures.

The probable cause statement in Ratigan’s charges said that on Dec. 16, Ratigan had sent his laptop to a computer repair technician, who discovered pornographic images of girls under 12 on the computer. The computer repairman made the church aware of what he had found and church personnel took the laptop to the church diocese IT representative for review, investigators said. Many of the images found were up-skirt photos, taken without the girls’ knowledge and of their vaginal area, police said.
