CA- CALIFORNIA GOVERNOR SIGNS NEW LAW SEALING MURDERED CHILDREN’S AUTOPSY RECORDS! Chelsea King, 17, Amber Dubois, 14, Sandra Cantu,8 This new law is not something I support. I’m with the newspapers on this one, in that there’s a compelling public interest. The legislation was sought by San Diego DA Bonnie Dumanis on behalf of the families of Chelsea, King, 17, raped & murdered by sex offender while out jogging, Amber Dubois, 14, killed by sex offender & buried on Indian reservation, Sandra Cantu, 8, raped with a rolling pin by woman Sunday school teacher.
The California Newspaper Publishers Association, opposed the bill, SB5…..Though the records would not be subject to disclosure under the California Public Records Act, they could become public if introduced as evidence during a trial. The records also could not be kept secret if the victim was a ward of the juvenile justice or Child Protective Services systems….
Hollingsworth said in a statement that he is glad Schwarzenegger agreed “there is simply no convincing public interest in the broadcasting of lurid autopsy documents that should prevail over the rights of a family to keep private the final, desperate moments of their child’s life.”

None of the children attended school, the woman testified, though she tried to teach them at home by creating her own lesson plans. Those born at home had no birth certificates or Social Security numbers, had never been to a doctor and weren’t allowed to interact with other children or the woman’s family, she said. They were routinely beaten for violating house rules, such as opening a refrigerator door, she said.

Then one morning in May 2008, her husband found their son dead in his crib. “He went over to check on him and felt that he was cold and looked and saw that he was blue, tried to move him and he just yelled at me to call the MPs and not to come upstairs,” she said.
After Lachlan Agee died, his mother says Fort Bragg conducted an autopsy against her family’s wishes and religious beliefs.
She says higher ups gave her husband a hard time when she went searching for answers.

The family buried the linen-wrapped baby themselves, following Islamic rites, on May 4 but without his brain and other internal organs. Because of an autopsy, they expect to have two more services, one for his internal organs and another for tissue samples.
“Can you imagine,” Mackenzie Agee said in a telephone interview from Fort Bragg, “having to handle your son’s brain?”
The baby is Muslim and Muslims, like Jews, don’t believe in cremation. That’s why the family couldn’t allow the baby’s brain, organs & tissues to be burned up and had to bury them.
