Cops treating this as a homicide. On Monday, in the same county, 2 year old Emmett Trapp, disappears. His mom said while she was sleeping he wandered off with the family dog. Personally, I think the whole idea of using a castration drug to lower testosterone in children is sick and immoral.

NV- NEW LAW IN HENDERSON, NEVADA THAT ALL PETS MUST BE CASTRATED! Mandatory Spay Neuter Laws Henderson Nevada, Las Vegas, Los Angeles This new law in Henderson, Nevada is going to result in a lot of animals becoming sick because now if people choose not to castrate their beloved pets, they’re not going to want to go to a vet if the animal gets sick for fear the vet will rat them out. That’s going to result in animals suffering.
This new mandatory Spay Neuter law in Henderson, Nevada as well as other jurisdictions including Las Vegas & Los Angeles is unconstitutional on several grounds:
1- Violates the 1st Amendment under freedom of religion.
The Bible (Lev. 22:24) prohibits any male animal from being castrated. In reference to spaying females, that violates the Jewish law of tza’ar ba’alei chayim under cruelty to animals. For more info see HERE It’s also prohibited in Islam to castrate animals.
2- Violates the 14th Amendment under Due Process:
“No state shall…deny any person life, liberty or property without due process of law; nor deny to any person within it’s jurisdiction the equal protection of laws”
Under the law, animals are our “property” Not nice, but true. To put it bluntly, your dog’s testicles are your property. The state cannot legally deprive you of your property without due process of law. Since your dog’s testicles don’t bite they’re not a danger to public safety.
3- Violates the 4th Amendment under Unreasonable Search & Seizure
You have a 4th Amendment right to not have the government seize your property unreasonably. Animals, by law are considered property. To put it bluntly, your dogs t.esticles are your property. It’s unreasonable for the government to seize your property (his t.esticles or her ovaries) without any crime having been committed. Testicles and ovaries don’t bite.
Then there are those that cite “public nuisance” due to animal overpopulation. It’s Unreasonable to assume that all dogs will stray and produce litters – especially if your dog is always confined or supervised or has no history of doing so. Unless the government has a crystal ball and can see into the future, they can’t say that all dogs will stray & impregnate. Secondly, even if it does produce a litter that was unplanned, it’s only a public nuisance if you don’t take personal responsibility for all of the animals in the litter.

I think this law is reprehensible and disgusting. It is unethical to mandate a law saying all cats and dogs have to have their testicles cut off and their wombs cut out. It’s genital mutilation. It’s a surgical atrocity. Do you think if you use nice words like “spay” and “neuter” that, that somehow makes the act of genital mutilation more respectable? It doesn’t. It’s barbaric, cruel and unethical to be turning an entire species into Eunuchs! There’s a human overpopulation problem, are we going to make laws that say every little boy and girl should have their testicles and wombs cut out? It’s immoral. For those of you saying, they won’t miss it – well, neither will retarted people, so should we castrate them to deal with human overpopulation??? Castration changes behavior, especially with males. If you can’t handle it, then don’t get a pet. But most people don’t want pets – they want little eunuchs running around who’ll behave as they see fit and if the poor animal does something natural like go into heat or spray – they’re solution is to cut off it’s genitals. And these are the same people going on and on about how much they “love” animals. It’s a shame that castration is so widely accepted. It also disgusts me when they stick the word, “humane” in front of it, as if there’s anything “humane” about genital mutilation. The shelters are killing them and blaming everyone else for murderous acts that they themselves are doing. Let me also say that tubal ligation (vasectomy) is actually the lesser of two evils and I would think, more “humane” than just turning animals into eunuchs. Not all vets know how to do it. Anybody in favor of animal castration had better be willing to have their own wombs cut out or have their testicles cut off for the greater good of human overpopulation! In reference to feral cats, they especially need their testosterone because that’s what’ll keep them alive on the street. They have to fight off other cats for food, territory, etc. A castrated cat going up against a cat with testosterone doesn’t stand a chance in a fight & will likely be killed. There are people who love their pets and treat them as they would, human children. When the pet dies, the owner can at least have the pet’s son or daughter. It’s like if your son dies, you at least have the grandson. If the state is forcing you to castrate your companion animal, the bloodline will die out.
