NYC- “US PET OWNERS PAYING FOR HIGH TECH VETERINARY CARE”! Animal Medical Center NYC New York City

This article is highly offensive to me, personally.

I know from a family that I’m friends with that the Animal Medical Center New York City, is horrible! Here’s how they feel about the

At Animal Medical Center New York, there are nothing but interns and residents running around like cockroaches pretending to be doctors. (By law, an intern is allowed to call themself a doctor!) If your pet has a terminal disease, forget about it.

The family that I know had a beautiful white baby Persian cat with a terminal illness. This is the most dreaded, deadliest virus that a cat can get. There’s an experimental drug that has caused a small amount of cats to go into remission and be cured. The family decided to use this drug after the cat’s legal owner researched it online. The FDA hasn’t yet approved this drug. It had to be imported in from England and cost about $900 a month. The price was no object. They loved the kitten and would do anything to save his life. All in all, the family spent over $6,000 in vet bills.

The vet there was hostile to the experimental treatment protocol (never mind the fact the protocol was written by a veterinarian that’s world renowned in her study of this disease) There are just some doctors that if you come in and you know what you’re talking about, they think you know more than them and get insulted. His whole attitude was go home and die. Anyway, the ba$tard never liked the legal owner and took it out on the terminally ill baby kitten. The treatment protocol called for a certain other drug to be administered. He never administered it. When the kitten’s legal owner spotted the mistake & called him up, his whole attitude was, “well this is my day off, you can’t expect me to drop everything”! Hell, when you screw up in not giving medicine to a terminally ill kitten that could possibly help save it’s life, and he’s in danger of dying – then yeah, he should’ve dropped everything, especially since omitting the drug was his mistake to begin with! But wait, it gets better: the wrong person is listed as the legal owner on the medical records, the vet failed to prescribe vital nutrients that cats being treated for this illness get (deviation from established standard of care, in my opinion) the vet wasn’t treating the kitten for secondary problems relating to vital organs (medical malpractice in my opinion), was verbally hostile and ignored the owner’s emails asking for medical help (abandonment of a patient- against NYS veterinary rules). Despite all of this, the baby kitten went into remission (rare), no thanks to the quack that was treating him.

Unfortunately, the little baby took a turn for the worst and the family rushed him to the

to save his life. Enter another emergency room doctor straight out of Dr. Kevorkian’s clinic! It was like running into the Euthanasia police, ready, willing and able to pull out their needle and kill any animal they feel should no longer live. There’s a reason why euthanasia is illegal on humans. We can’t have doctors running around killing patients. Doctors who kill on a regular basis get desensitized to it and want to do it for every case. The owner believes the doctor didn’t do everything she could do medically to save the baby kitten’s life because she personally believed the baby kitten was better off dead and made no qualms about telling the family that! The first words out of her mouth were “euthanasia”. The family repeatedly said they were not interest in killing him but the owner felt that this doctor took advantage of a family in a weakened state of mind, told them that they were being “cruel” to let him live and the owner feels, coerced them into euthanasia. What’s worst, the legal owner’s name is not even on the consent form. True story. It just happened at the Animal Medical Center NYC New York City on June 29th 2010.

The baby kitten meant the world to the owner. The owner told me that it feels like there’s a hole in their heart, ever since the baby’s been gone. The owner is in really bad shape right now, constantly in mourning. The pain of losing a pet is comparable to the pain of losing a family member.

The baby kitten was the sweetest little kitten in the world. He would come and rub his head up to your leg and purr. He liked watching cartoons and Animal Planet. He would watch “Boomerang” the station with retro cartoons and he absolutely loved Animal Planet. Seriously. He would really watch it. His favorite toy was his gray rat. He would hold the rat in his mouth and pelt it down to the floor! Then he would thrash the rat around from side to side with his little paws. Sometimes he would just walk around the house from room to room, with that rat in his mouth like a little lion, like Leo, king of the jungle! It was his favorite toy. We buried him with it.

I knew this baby kitten. I loved him, played with him, spent hours with him. I’d lie down on the floor next to him while he slept, with my hand on his back, touching his white fur, and watch him breathe and sleep. Watch my hand, on his back, go up and down with his breathing. I knew, lying there watching him sleep, that there was a deadly virus a few inches away from my hands, on the other side of his body, killing him on the inside. In addition to the current treatment protocol, the owner discovered another form of experimental treatment that they were getting ready to try. They never got that chance. Maybe if the kitten were receiving competant medical care from the regular vet, his body could’ve fought off the illness long enough to give the imported medicine time to work or time enough to try other treatments.

Oh, and one more thing: not that this surprises me but after the baby kitten died, the son of a b*tch vet that was “taking care of him” regularly never even had the decency to call the family and express condolences. They got nothing. Zero. Zip. Nada. Nothing. They never heard from Dr. Douchebag again. And this was his patient, mind you. That’s the sort of treatment you can expect from the Animal Medical Center New York City.

I am not endorsing violence but the Animal Medical Center NYC New York City could burn to the ground with everyone in it for all I care.

She claims the vet pushed her out of the way and injected the syringe full of euthanasia fluid into a catheter in Joey’s hind leg, killing him. She’s suing them.

“VETERINARIAN MISTAKE AT ANIMAL MEDICAL CENTER NYC NEW YORK CITY CAUSES DEATH OF MINIATURE DASCHUND” Marshall Allan, Karen LaGatta Allan Marshall Allan and Karen LaGatta Allan are claiming that they brought their miniature Daschund, Hans Allan, to the Animal Medical Center NYC New York because he had a cancerous growth under his right eye. He received three doses of chemotherapy after which he became sick & started vomiting. The vet allegedly confirmed to the couple that their beloved dog received 10 times the correct amount due to a math error! Afterwards, the couple claim Hans was given an unauthorized blood transfusion by a young & inexperienced vet that caused their little dog to go into cardiac arrest and die. They’re suing.
