Ama Dwimoh – Crybaby interns complaining!
Prosecutor, Ama Dwimoh (ja-mo) is the Chief of the elite Crimes Against Children Bureau in Brooklyn, New York.
She has:
1) Headed the Crimes Against Children Bureau since it was founded in 1997.
2) Has spent the last decade prosecuting some of New York City’s most notorious child murder cases.
3) Does workshops in different communities to raise awareness about child abuse. That would include teaching people to spot signs of child abuse so they could potentially help save a child’s life.
In an arrangement with the City, interns from some of Manhattan’s most prestigious lawfirms, work at the Brooklyn DA’s office.
The young intern attorneys all come from private law firms, including some of the city’s most prestigious partnerships.
Under a special arrangement, they work full time for the 50-person crimes against children bureau. Their firms pay half their salaries and the DA’s office pays the other half, sources said.
District Attorney Charles Hynes has suspended Assistant District Attorney, Ama Dwimoh, for two weeks amid allegations she constantly screamed at the intern lawyers – and threatened to fire them for little or no reason, sources said.
Here’s another quote from Brooklyn Eagle.Com
The employee was one of a group of about 35 public service fellows, according to a source at the D.A.’s Office. These deferred associates are mostly first-year attorneys who were hired out of law school by law firms that then redirected them to work in public service for a reduced salary while the firms recoup losses from the recession.
These interns are probably all a bunch of trust fund babies who are use to being spoon fed and coddled at their Ivy League law schools. I’m guessing they’ve never did a real day’s work in their life. They probably felt that they were slumming it at the Brooklyn DA’s office.
Think about it. They come from some of Manhattan’s most prestigious law firms so they can’t be to happy about being loaned out to Brooklyn, of all places. To add insult to injury, they’re now considered measly city workers being paid bread crumbs! So much for their dreams of raking in the dough working as hot shots in Manhattan. So these Ivy League kids are already pi$$ed. Now to top it all off, they’ve got a tough as nails black, female D.A., busy prosecuting child murderers, who actually expects them to…

WORK!
“Work”? said Johann Timothy Vanderbilt the 3rd.
Yes, I think she said, “work” replied Madison Victoria Johnson.
How dreadful.
Would you pass the Grey Poupon?
(kidding)
So the crybaby Ivy League kids went whining to the Brooklyn DA, Charles Hynes, that
- Ama Dwimoh
was being mean to them.
Cry me a river.
District Attorney Charles Hynes suspended Ama Dwimoh who’s due back to work on Monday, June 21st. Charles Hynes probably suspended her to placate the Manhattan law firms whom he’s getting slave labor from.
DA Charles Hynes’ judgement hasn’t exactly been the greatest. Case in point: Justina Morales Justina Morales was an 8 year old girl who was raped with a hammer and murdered for refusing to bathe! Luis Santiago decided that 8 year old Justina had to die for refusing to bathe. While he was drowning her in the tub, mommy dearest was holding her hands and legs down. When the drowning didn’t work, they tried smothering her with a pillow. Mommy was holding her down while the boyfriend held the pillow over her. When that didn’t work, they duct taped her nose and mouth, causing her to suffocate to death. Mom, Denise Solero was again holding the little girl down. After they finished they put her body in a shopping cart and rolled it through the streets of Brooklyn. They dumped her in a landfill and to this day Justina Morales’ body had never been found. Denise Solero claimed she was a battered woman. DA Charles Hynes, whose own mother was a battered woman bought her story before hearing all of the evidence and cut an immunity deal with her in exchange for testifying! Denise Solero changed her name to Denise Forbes and was last heard working in the theatre district in Manhattan. She’s as free as a bird. So much for Distict Attorney Charles Hynes’ judgement.
I read in another article in the NY Daily News that it was one woman in particular who went whining to D.A. Charles Hynes.
Here’s an article in defense of Ama Dwimoh entitled IS BROOKLYN ADA AMA DWIMOH GETTING A BUM RAP?
A second source in the office claims that this is, in fact, an isolated case:
“I’d heard that she was suspended because she yelled at a particular associate who had political clout, but that’s about it….”
The DA’s office doesn’t sound that different from a law firm: some colleagues can be screwed over with impunity, while others can derail your career if you so much as forget to say “please” to them.
So because this girl intern had “political clout”, DA Charles Hynes probably caved in and suspended Ama Dwimoh. If what this source in the DA’s office said is true, then the person who the intern had “political clout” with has got to be someone more powerful than the Brooklyn District Attorney Charles Hynes. Someone powerful enough to exert influence on him.
Let’s recap on what Ama Dwimoh has been doing for the past 13 years:
1) Ama Dwimoh is the Chief of the elite Crimes Against Children Bureau in Brooklyn for the past 13 years.
2) Prosecuted some of New York City’s most notorious child murder and child rape cases for the past 13 years.
3) Does workshops in different communities to help raise awareness about child abuse. This includes teaching community members to spot the signs of child abuse so they can potentially help save a child’s life – for the past 13 years.
Now lets contrast this with what these interns, or more specifically, the girl intern who went whining to DA Charles Hynes, has been doing for the past 13 years. Hmmmm. Lets see. Let me guess:
1) Living off mommy and daddy.
2) Dancing along to tunes on her I-Pod
3) Shopping
4) Clubbing
5) Watching reruns of “Friends”
Why do I get the nauseating feeling that I’m right?
So when a little prepubescent girl gets violently raped with an object in her genital, it’s Ama Dwimoh that’s going to have to put the monster away. And when a baby gets shaken so bad that they’re bleeding through their eyes, it’s Ama Dwimoh that’s going to have to put the monster away. And when children are beaten so badly that their bones split in two and they’ve got black eyes and purple bruises up and down their bodies, it’s Ama Dwimoh that’s going to have to put the monster away.
Compare what Ama Dwimoh has been doing for the past 13 years to what some spoiled brat intern with “political clout” has probably been doing. Shopping, clubbing, drinking lattes and living off mommy and daddy isn’t making the world a safer place.
I don’t know about you but I’m more inclined to give the benefit of the doubt to a distinguished child abuse prosecutor who’s spent the past decade putting away monsters who rape, abuse and murder children rather than to a bunch of Ivy League spoiled brats who probably think “work” is lifting their pinky fingers when they drink their tea.
The New York Daily News article only gives the interns side. There are always two sides to every story. Remember that.
Note to the crybaby interns: Maybe if you all moved your a$$es and actually did something she wouldn’t be yelling at you. Prosecuting child abuse is to serious an issue to have a bunch of screwup interns playing games! What are you all going to do when you’re out in the real world and you’ve got a judge yelling at you, clients threatening to fire you and you don’t have Big Daddy, Charles Hynes to run too??? If you can’t hack it here, then hang up your shingle and go home!
