MA- COUPLE OVERDOSED GIRL, 4, ON PS.YCHOTROPIC DRUGS TO KEEP HER QUIET & OUT OF THEIR WAY, ALLEGEDLY, GIRL DIED – MOM’S TRIAL ONGOING! Rebecca Riley, 4, Carolyn Riley, Michael Riley, Dr. Kayoko Kifuji Prosecutors say the mother, Carolyn Riley, fabricated symptoms of mental illness to the doctors, about Rebecca Riley, just to have little Rebecca declared mentally disabled so the family could collect Social Security Disability payments. They’d then drug her up with the medicine so they wouldn’t have to deal with her.
Here’s a description of the crime scene photo. Rebecca was found lying on the floor next to her parent’s bed:
The photo, taken by police after her mother found her dead on the floor of their bedroom, shows the little girl wearing only a pink pull-up diaper, lying on a pile of magazines and clothing and a stuffed bear. She had a pink liquid oozing from her nose and mouth.
Yesterday pathologist, Dr. Sara Vargas, from the Children’s Hospital Boston testified that 4 year old Rebecca Riley died from an aggressive bacterial pneumonia that was in a toxic setting of drugs in her body. The toxic brew, specifically, Clon.idine, which was used as a sedative, undermined her ability to fight off the infection. Vargas testified that Clon.idine can depress breathing and other bodily functions and exacerbate an illness. “The more sedation, the more the risk” she said. Vargas also testified that when reviewing Rebecca’s tissues, that her organs were damaged from excessive drug consumption.
On Rebecca’s last night alive she was vomiting, coughing & walking around in a confused mental state. Prosecutors accuse Carolyn Riley of a “malicious failure” to obtain medical treatment for a very sick child.
What Rebecca died from is key in this case. The defense is claiming Rebecca died from a rapid onset pneumonia and the mother could not have known she would die. The prosecutors claim Rebecca died not only from pneumonia but also from the toxic levels of drugs found in her body that weakened her system. Furthermore, that Carolyn Riley refused to seek medical treatment for her daughter which could’ve saved the child’s life. Next week the defense is expected to call their own medical examiner.
NYC- WOMAN GUARDIAN BEAT BOY, 3, TO DEATH WITH A HAIR BRUSH FOR NOT SLEEPING, CONVICTED – HUSBAND CLAIMED HE SLEPT THROUGH BEATING , CONVICTED OF MURDER! Kyle Chandler Smith, 3, Lemar Martin, 27, Nymeen Cheatham, 32 The couple were watching 3 year old Kyle Chandler Smith while his mother sought help for a drug problem. They beat Kyle, forced him to do push ups, march in place, threw cold water on him, he had a torn tongue, lacerations to his a.nus. Nymeen Cheatham took a plea deal and got 20 years. Jurors are expected to see gruesome photos of the boy, whose injuries Fischer described in harsh detail: bruises on his back, sides, genitals and buttocks; bleeding from his mouth, where his tongue was nearly severed; cracked teeth and broken ribs.
Kyle’s blood was on the walls and floors of the Bedford-Stuyvesant apartment, on Martin’s cue stick and on the sheets and bed covers.

Minor allegedly took one of the boys to a bathroom in the church and sexually assaulted him. While the assault was in progress, the other child reportedly walked into the bathroom and witnessed the offense. The defendant then allegedly committed a sexual offense with the second boy.

Lester Hobbs, 46, Aja Johnson, 7 Aja Johnson was visiting her mom when the estranged husband killed the mother and kidnapped the little girl, reportedly. The bio dad is being accused of violating a court order for allowing the 7 year old to visit with her mother unsupervised. This case has received national media attention.
IN- COURTS TO DECIDE IF WHO SHOULD BE LISTED ON BIRTH CERTIFICATE AS MOM, SURROGATE OR MOM WHO CONTRIBUTED THE EGG! Infant R, 11 month old boy. A couple donated their s.perm and egg to make a baby. The wife’s sister agreed to be the surrogate. Indiana law states only the birth mom can be listed on birth certificate – even if she’s a surrogate who has no genetic ties to baby! Even the surrogate mom wants the bio mom listed but the judge refused citing Indiana law. A lot of these laws were created before surrogacy cases arose.
Authorities accuse Douglas Perlitz of enticing children at the Project Pierre Toussaint school in Cap-Haitien into sex acts by promising them food, shelter, cash, cell phones, electronics and shoes. They say he also withheld benefits and threatened to expel the boys if they refused his wishes. A new 19-count indictment incorporates old and new allegations against the 39-year-old Perlitz, federal prosecutors said Thursday.
The California Supreme Court ruled 5 to 2 Thursday that a 2006 ballot initiative that permitted the state to lock up sexually violent predators indefinitely may violate constitutional guarantees of equal protection. The ruling, written by Justice Carlos R. Moreno, did not strike down the measure, Proposition 83, also known as “Jessica’s Law” ….Instead, the court said a fact-finding hearing must be held to determine whether valid reasons exist for treating sex predators differently from others subject to civil confinement, such as mentally disordered offenders.
