Bristol County Sheriff Thomas Hodgson Thomas Hodgson originally charged inmates $5 a day rent for staying in the jail but the Massachusetts Supreme Court struck it down saying he doesn’t have the authority to charge fees. He took the case back to court & wants the fees reinstated. This is outrageous! You lock human beings up in cages like animals and have the audacity to want to charge them rent?!? And let me just say to deny an inmate medical treatment is more along the lines of a human rights violation.
