FL. – BABYSITTER CHARGED WITH DEATH OF 1 YR OLD!
FL. A babysitter has been charged with the death of a 1 year old toddler she was taking care of back in October.
“Amanda Brumfield, 29, told investigators the child had fallen and hit her head, but she did not call for help for another two and a half hours, police said.
Brumfield said she came out of the bathroom to find the child straddling her playpen. She said that shouting the child’s name startled the child, who fell, hitting her head and biting part way through her tongue.”
The autopsy concluded that the baby had a fractured skull and a subdural hematoma (bleeding on the brain) They also said the injury could not have been sustained from a 28 inch fall from the playpen to the floor. The babysitter is only being charged with child neglect!
What is wrong with these prosecutors in Florida? Child neglect? Her ass should be charged with murder! A subdural hematoma is only caused with a great amount of force, like if you deliberately bash someone’s head against a wall. If you can’t handle children, don’t babysit them!
