NH – BABYSITTER CHARGED WITH BURNING BABY!
NH. 19 year old babysitter, Crystal Grant, has been arrested in connection with burning a 4 month old baby girl named, Zoey, while giving her a bath!
“During the course of bathing the infant, we believe scalding water was poured onto the infant,” said Lt. Anthony Triano.
Grant was charged with one count of first-degree assault, and bail was set at $25,000.”
“The baby, Zoey, is in stable condition at Massachusetts General Hospital. She needed breathing and feeding tubes to survive when she was brought in.
Police said Grant took the baby to a hospital for help. Zoey was then flown to Boston, where she remained in critical condition for nearly 10 days.”
Zoey’s siblings were also in the house when the burning happened. People that know Crystal Grant are claiming she would never intentionally hurt a baby.
My questions are: didn’t she feel the water when it was coming out of the faucet or did she just put the infant under the hot water faucet and walk away? How come she wasn’t burned too? Obviously a 4 month old baby can’t give herself a bath. If the baby received 2nd degree burns from the water, then why wasn’t Grant also burned from holding the infant?
